Amor Vincit Omnia

Amor vincit omnia. Latin for "Love conquers all"

Honestly, the hardest part about making this was choosing a name. It was like naming a child, only much more difficult. I knew I wanted it to be based on something a saint said, or something saint-like. Why? Not really sure. Finally, Tori said if she had a blog, it would be called Love Conquers All. So, I stole that one. Our #samepersonsyndrome means I'm allowed to do that.

Anyway, here were the quotes the runner-up titles were based off of:

"O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek...to be loved, as to love" -St. Francis, Peace Prayer

"It is in giving that we receive" - St. Francis, Peace Prayer

"All the darkness in the world can not extinguish the light of a single candle" - St. Francis, The Little Flowers

"God provides the wind, but we must raise the sails" - St. Augustine

"My heart is restless until it rests in you" - St. Augustine

"Late have I loved you" - St. Augustine

"Pray, hope and don't worry" - St. Pio

"Do small things with great love" -Bl. Theresa of Calcutta

I'm not really sure what all this blog will have. I doubt many will read it, but for those who do, thank you (and apologies in advance). All I know is that it will chronicle the weird life of a weird kid, and the journey in faith that entails. I chose the name because that is perhaps the truest statement I have found in my admittedly short time on earth. If you take nothing else from this blog, take that: Love conquers all
